Miniature ceramic chimneys designed by Natura Design as a souvenir for the island of Lanzarote

The late well loved artist César Manrique used the Canarian chimney in many of his projects.

Natura Design have taken three of the more traditional chimney designs and created these miniature ceramics to remind you of the uniqueness of the Island of Lanzarote.
The Canarian style chimney is practically unique to Lanzarote, they can be found on the other Canary Islands but not in the amazing range of different sizes and designs in which they can be found on this Island
They have been used in the design of traditional houses on the Island for hundreds of years varying in size and shape depending on the location and importance of the property.
The larger chimneys can be found on grander houses of more importance and the smaller chimneys will be found on the humbler dwellings.
Possibly originating from Portugal in the 15 century, they certainly have Arabic, north African quality to them.
